A Mother's Love: Maple & Charlie's Story

Charlie was born healthy, but his mother Maple is living on borrowed time.

Maple was rescued from unimaginable neglect, living in filth and barely surviving. We had no idea she was pregnant—until she gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Charlie. Though Maple's time is limited due to a serious parasite, she now lives in comfort, surrounded by love and the joy of raising her son. Charlie is full of energy and plays all day in the backyard, while Maple grazes peacefully by his side. Their bond is beautiful—and every moment they share is a gift.

Baby Sophia: The Tiniest Fighter With The Biggest Heart

Born into loss, now surrounded by love.

Born in tragedy, Sophia was the only survivor of a difficult birth that took her mother and siblings. With a dislocated leg and no mama to care for her, she now lives inside the home of our founder, where she’s bottle-fed, showered with affection, and getting physical therapy every day. Sweet and affectionate, Sophia recently took her first steps in the grass—one of many joyful firsts still to come.

Millie's Story: A Cry for Help Is Answered

The rescue and resilience of an injured baby goat.

Millie’s left ear is torn—a lasting reminder of the neglect she escaped. As a baby, she was found crying alone in a small dog carrier, with no food, no water… and injuries from an animal attack she couldn’t escape.

That tiny goat is now thriving at Angel’s Acres.

Meet Sky: A Story Of Love & Trust

When Sky was rescued from a lonely field, he didn’t trust anyone. That all changed when he met our volunteer, Autumn.

Sky was rescued from an abandoned field where he and a donkey named Henry were barely surviving. Once fearful and shut down, Sky has blossomed at Angel’s Acres thanks to the loving dedication of volunteers Misty and Autumn, who’ve helped him learn to trust again and enjoy the gentle affection he always deserved.

Daisy's Second Chance

A story of hope for an overworked and neglected horse.

Once a hardworking trail horse, Daisy was pushed beyond her limits—carrying riders too heavy, too often. She developed sway back, a painful spinal condition, and was no longer useful to her owners.

So they locked her in a stall. Alone, bored, and anxious, Daisy began cribbing—chewing the wood out of stress.

But then, she found hope at Angels Acres.
