• Sponsor an animal
• Purchase from our online store

• Create or access a supporter, sponsor, or volunteer account

Depending on the interaction, this may include your name, email address, mailing or shipping address, phone or mobile number, donation, sponsorship, and purchase history, the content of messages you send us, and information you choose to include in a volunteer application or form.

Payment information. Donations and purchases are processed by our third-party payment providers (Square and Givebutter). Your full payment-card number is entered directly with those providers and is not stored on our servers. We receive limited details needed to record and acknowledge your transaction (such as your name, the amount, the last four digits of a card, and a transaction reference).

Information collected automatically.When you visit our website, we and our analytics and advertising partners may automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, and general location. See “Cookies and Tracking Technologies” below.

Our public website uses cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. These fall into a few categories:

• Strictly necessary— required for the site to function, such as keeping you signed in to an account, remembering items in your shopping cart, processing a donation or order, and remembering your cookie choices. These are always active.
• Analytics— help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics and privacy-friendly site analytics for this purpose.
• Marketing— used to measure and improve our outreach and fundraising, including the Meta (Facebook) pixel.

We do not load analytics or marketing technologies until you consent. Email.If you opt in to receive communications from Angels Acres, we may email you about our animals, programs, events, and news. Every marketing email includes an “unsubscribe” link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or by contacting us at info@angelsacres.org.

Text messages (SMS).We send text messages only to people who have opted in — for example, by providing a mobile number and agreeing to receive texts. If you opt in, we may text you about your donations or sponsorships, volunteer shifts, events, and sanctuary updates.

• Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
• Consenting to texts is never a condition of donating, purchasing, or volunteering.
• You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help.
• We do not sell or share your mobile number or your text-message consent with third parties for their own marketing.
• Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

When you make a donation or a purchase, applicable law and IRS requirements direct us to provide you with a timely receipt or written acknowledgment of your transaction. We will send these transactional communications — such as donation receipts, tax acknowledgments, recurring-gift notices, and order and shipping confirmations — to the email address or phone number associated with your transaction.

Because these messages are necessary to complete, confirm, and document your transaction, they are not marketing and may be sent even if you have opted out of our newsletters or promotional messages. You always have the right to opt out of any further, non-transactional communications at any time — see “Email and Text Message Communications” above and “Your Rights” below.

Angels Acres does not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent needed to provide their service. These include:

• Payment processing: Square and Givebutter
• Email and text delivery: Resend and MailerLite (email); our text-messaging provider (SMS)
• Website hosting and database: Vercel and Supabase
• Analytics and outreach: Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Meta (Facebook)
• Online store fulfillment: Printify

We may also disclose information when required by law, to comply with a legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Angels Acres, our animals, supporters, or others, or in connection with a merger, reorganization, or similar event. Each provider maintains its own privacy practices.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide our services, maintain donation and tax records required by law, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

You have the right to:

• Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal and recordkeeping exceptions
• Opt out of marketing emails and text messages at any time
• Opt out of non-essential cookies through our Cookie Settings
