Willow was a truly sweet soul! With her striking, all-white fur and graceful presence, she was a favorite among our volunteers and visitors alike. Willow joined us after being found abandoned, and it was a joy to watch her flourish in the safety of the sanctuary. She was incredibly gentle and became an essential part of our goat herd. Willow’s journey was a beautiful testament to our belief that every animal deserves a life filled with hope, peace, and love.

Frosty is a true survivor and the eldest statesman of our herd. Found barely alive in a snowbank, he suffered frostbite on his nose and ears and lost his voice from the ordeal. At 15 years old, he has far surpassed the typical goat lifespan—a testament to his incredible resilience. While his massive, impressive horns might look intimidating, Frosty is a gentle soul who is as sweet as can be. He is a living reminder of why we provide a peaceful forever home for every animal.

Stark was one of our very first rescues at Angels Acres. He was a cute and spunky goat, who loved to be brushed and petted and spend time with his best goat buddy, Delmar. Stark and Delmar were always together and protected one another. They slept with their necks wrapped around one another. Their friendship is a testament to the power of love and compassion that we strive to provide here at the sanctuary.

Sebastian was an absolute sweetheart who loved cuddles and attention. He was a loverboy and a favorite among our volunteers and visitors. He will be remembered and missed always

Becky was a very sweet little goat, she loved having visitors and playing with her goat friends. She especially loved Bobbie, our founder. We will always miss and love Becky.

Patches was a spunky sweet girl who was always up for taking a great photo or getting treats and pets with her goat friends. She will forever be in our hearts.

Felicia came to Angels Acres with her momma, and they were very close. Sadly, her momma passed away a couple of months after arriving, and it was determined that Felicia suffered from CAE, a disease in goats that causes locked joints and eventually locks up their organs too causing death. When she could no longer use her front legs, we raised the funds to get her a wheelchair, and when she could no longer walk at all, the volunteers and Bobbie carried her around where she needed to go. She was a very loving goat and her favorite thing to play with was a Happy Meal box. Felicia was surrounded by love in her short life and her bright spirit lifted those she was around. She will be forever loved and missed.

Norman was a very special little goat, who came to the farm as a baby with his brother Oliver. Oliver only lived a short while as he had some genetic abnormalities. Norman unfortunately had CEA, a goat disease that causes locked joints and eventually locks up the organs as well causing death. Norman lived his 2 years here to the fullest, and was a house goat, living with Bobbie and Terry due to his special needs. He had a unique and sweet personality and loved to hide, and everyone would play "Where's Norman" as he would sort of blend in in funny ways. His loss was a very difficult one but his memory will live on with us as we keep his spirit in mind and continue giving loving care to the animals we rescue.

Wilma was a very sweet soul, and showed her love through her big smile. She loved to roam the property freely (under a watchful eye), and she loved spending time with people and getting treats. She even became famous for a moment when Sherman Burdette named her “Wilma” live on air when we were featured on Fox 59 in August 2024. Due to her previous severe neglect, Wilma also had long tern health issues that could not be fixed, and she passed away in her sleep in early November. We will miss her friendly spirit and we are grateful she spent the last few months of her life with us.

Bear was our beloved greeter who would announce anyone’s arrival and was always friendly and loving towards people, especially children. He loved to play with his stuffed animals and run with the younger visitors. He especially loved going for rides with Terry. Sadly, just before Bear arrived at Angel’s Acres, he was hit by a car after his owner turned him loose, unable to care for him. While Bear received proper care, there were long term issues from the accident that ultimately took him peacefully in his sleep in early October.. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for Bear and we are grateful for the time we had with him.

Henry the donkey came to Angel’s Acres in May 2024, along with Sky the horse. They lived together in a field with a broken down barn and no house in sight, and were neglected. They were only being fed by a kind elderly neighbor. When they first arrived here, they weren’t used to humans and were afraid, but after a few months of working with them, they both finally knew what love is. Henry was a sweet boy and he loved to eat! Having come from a situation where he didn’t know where or when his next meal would be, he became very attuned to feeding time. He knew when it was time for breakfast, and if he was fed a minute late, he could be heard all the way up to the house! Sadly, Henry passed away from old age in August of this year. Sky and all of us at Angel’s Acres miss him dearly.

Lil’ Bit was a miniature horse who stood just 20 inches tall from the groud to the top of his head. He had been used in a show, and was the worst case of neglect we have ever seen. He was rescued and brought to Angel’s Acres in April of this year.His teeth were so bad, the vet couldn’t even tell exactly how old he was, and his hooves were so overgrown and curled that he was barely able to walk, and his stomach was twisted inside. When the vet first laid eyes on him, she thought he would only survive a few more days; but, she was so moved by this little guy’s situation, she helped us fight for his life every day he was here doing everything possible to save him. His story ended up spread far and wide and he finally received all the love and attention he deserved. Even though we fought as hard as we could for him, Lil’ Bit passed away 3 weeks after his rescue. Because of him, a new group of dedicated volunteers came together and have become a wonderful help to our sanctuary, and we take comfort that his legacy lives on through them. He will forever be in our hearts.
