Community Update — May 2026

The Future of Angels Acres Is Uncertain. The Animals Still Need Us.

Following a recent zoning decision, Angels Acres is no longer permitted to open to the public for visits or events. While we work to understand our options and determine the path forward, one thing has not changed: the animals still need food, shelter, veterinary care, and the loving forever home they have come to depend on.

This page will serve as our central hub for updates, resources, and ways you can help. Whether you choose to sign our petition, share your story, attend a community meeting, donate, sponsor an animal, or simply help spread the word, your support matters now more than ever.

The future may be uncertain, but our commitment to the animals is not.

What Angels Acres means to people

I had a baby goat I found on a Facebook site. She was very sick and I believe her momma was killed before an auction. She was filthy and not eating and I couldn't give her what she needed to survive. I asked Bobbie to take her and she said yes on the spot. This baby survived because of Angels Acres. They immediately took her in and loved and cared for her. Oakley is alive because of Bobbie. She's happy and thriving because of Bobbie. I will never be able to thank Angels Acres enough.

— Susan, Nashville, IN

I used to live on T and T Lane. My A-frame sat right next to your fence. I loved seeing the fur-babies out there! I hope you get enough support to keep your kind efforts going. You're doing a very kind thing!

— Vicki, Camby, IN

My daughter has cognitive as well as physical learning disabilities. My daughter loves animals and we took her to Angel acres many times so she could visit with the animals and interact with them. This was part of her routine. This is part of her coping mechanisms. My daughter doesn't do well with changes and now she does not understand why she can no longer go to Angel acres, and visit the animals, who have become her friends. It is very disheartening that county officials which strip away, angel acres ability not only to provide life-saving care, comfort and medical treatment to these animals that have been through so much, but to deprive disabled, Indiana residence, the ability to have a sense of normal tea in their lives. To deny these individuals, the ability to go out and touch the animals and talk to the animals and feed the animals. It is shameful to take that away from these individuals. I sincerely hope and intend to fully support angel acres in their fight to reclaim their status as a sanctuary that is open to the public and I hope that they accomplish that expeditiously. I know my daughter is just one individual serve served in my family is one individual family. With that said, I don't believe my daughter is the only individual that benefit fitted from the existence of Angel acres I don't believe my family is the only family that benefited from Angel acres and I know for a fact that the animals that reside at that sanctuary have benefited from the owners and all the volunteers that love and care for them.

— Mike, Plainfield, IN

These animals are not at fault where they are or how they have been treated. I personally have seen the love these volunteers give these animals and it's all volunteer n the owners own money if they don't get support from our community! Step up Mooresville! These babies need you n your donations please!

— Kim

Angels Acres Farm Animal Sanctuary is providing a much needed service that benefits the county in numerous ways. Losing their ability to have visitors will endanger their wellbeing and the animals now and any possible future needy animals. Please consider their needed services and the need to keep operating in a visitor friendly way. Thank you for your consideration.

— Michael

Angel acres is such a special place for the animals that need it and the people that get to show them love by visiting

— Mary

I believe its important to help the animals and to show our children to care for them as well. Me and my family got the opportunity to visit angel acres last year and we loved it. My grandchildren wanted to help volunteer and and we as a family donated to help the animals. We love them all but milkshake the blind highland cow was our favorite. I have a granddaughter that wants to be a veterinary to help with animals like this. It's my prayer that things get changed and angel acres is open to the public again. The community and animals would greatly benefit from it. Angel acres being open to the public hurts no one, but closing it hurts us all. Please reopen Angel Acres to the public. Thank you.

— Ruth
