About Loki

Loki is a truly sweet soul with an incredible capacity for forgiveness. Before joining us at the sanctuary, he was being trained for life as a nativity donkey—a demanding job that left him with a few physical scars and a cautious heart. Through the gentle care and patience of our volunteers, Loki has learned to trust again and has opened his heart to both humans and his fellow animals. These days, he is never far from his best friends and pasture mates, Hemi and Daisy. It’s been a privilege to watch him move past his early challenges and find a life filled with friendship and peace.
